Hole #'s 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11 are all 5/8"
Hole #'s 3, 7, 8, 9 are all 3/16"
Hole # 5 is 1"
Hole # 12 is 3/8"
Hole # 13 is 1 1/4"

  IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER HOLES, THAN THOSE LISTED ABOVE, THEY HAVE BEEN ADDED AT ANOTHER TIME AND ARE NOT FACTORY HOLES. IF YOU ARE USING ANY OF THESE HOLES FOR A PURPOSE OTHER THAN INDICATED, YOU ARE IN ERROR. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE AFORE MENTIONED INFO. IS CAUSE FOR SEIZURE OF YOUR BUGEYE, POST HASTE! PLEASE FORWARD YOU ADDRESS TO ME ASAP SO THAT I CAN MAKE AN INSPECTION AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION. Hey just kidding. I hope this posting is a help to all of you with misplaced fittings through the firewall. And to all those with disassembled cars and misplaced notes. Please print this and tape it to the inside of your service book. Enjoy, Brad  
1. Is the small hot lead from the battery neg. terminal and goes to the ign./light switch. ( POS. Earth cars) ( POS for those that are converted to neg. Earth)  
2.* Is for the heater motor wire  
* Note from Dean Hedin : Hole "2" is not for the heater wire harness. It is normally plugged shut.  
3. Is for a brake pipe clamp.There is another on the other side.  
4. Is for the starter pull cable.  
5. Is for the temp. capillary tube and bulb and also the oil pressure gauge pipe.  
6. Is where the heater control push/pull wire comes through.  
7. Is for a clutch pipe clamp. ( See notes)*  
8. Is the other brake pipe clamp. ( See # 3.)  
9. Is the battery earth fixing point.  
10. Is for the tach. cable.  
11. Is for the wiper motor wire harness.  
12 . Is for the windshield washer tube to the reservoir.  
13 . Is for the windshield wiper cable and armor pipe to pass through.  
14. Is not pictured and is to the left in the photo and is quite large, this is for the main harness to pass through.  
15. Is near where the steering shaft comes through the firewall and is for the speedo cable.  
16. Is the hole that appears in the lower left of the photo, please note that there is a corresponding hole on the other side of the car.These holes are for the wire harness from the headlight dip switch. (This is where you will use the triangular shaped 6 holed wire connector.) If you have a RHD car, plug the left side hole. If you have a LHD car, plug plug the right side hole. Right and left sides are referenced as you are sitting in the vehicle.  
  BE SURE TO NOTE THE FOLLOWING!  
  The threaded hole next to the main harness port is to afix the flasher unit to, please note that the OE flasher has a clip fitted to the top to which it is fastened to the firewall. There is another small hole near #4 which is not shown , this is for the another clutch pipe clamp.
